How do I make a Holiday Bonus Fund and Leave Pay Fund Claim?
Members who leave their employer or establishment during the course of the year may qualify for payment from the Holiday Bonus Fund and Leave Pay Fund, depending on the date and reason for termination of employment.
When will my claim be processed?
Ad-hoc Payment
If you leave your employer or establishment through resignation, retirement, retrenchment, or dismissal during this period, your Holiday Bonus Fund and Leave Pay Fund will be processed as an ad-hoc payment, with a two-month waiting period.
December Council Payout
If you leave your employer or establishment through resignation, retirement, retrenchment, or dismissal during this period, your Holiday Bonus Fund and Leave Pay Fund will be processed as part of the end-of-year Council payout in December.
Ad-hoc Payment
If you leave your employer or establishment through resignation or retirement from 01 October to establishment closure in December, your Holiday Bonus Fund and Leave Pay Fund will be processed as an ad-hoc payment, with a two-month waiting period.

Prepare the Supporting Documents
The claim form must be submitted together with the required supporting documents.
- Proof of bank account letter
- Letter from the employer stating the reason for termination of employment
- Certified copy of your South African ID
- Certified copy of your passport, if you are a foreign national

Submit the Claim
Once the completed claim form and all supporting documents have been submitted, the claim will be reviewed and processed according to the applicable payout period.
