The EPIC Portal is an online system provided by the Furniture Bargaining Council to allow for simplified and a streamlined submission of applicable employer and employee fees, levies and contributions.
Registered establishments can securely upload and import their monthly returns, reflecting their monthly fees, levies and contributions. The latter is achieved by using a standardised Excel template. While fees, levies and contributions are calculated on a weekly basis in line with the Industry’s prevailing main Collective Agreement, such fees, levies and contributions are conveniently submitted once a month via the given portal.
However, where employers elected to use the Council’s more affordable WARP (Wages and Returns Processing) system, the required template is automatically generated each month. WARP was specifically developed and is kept updated in line with the Council’s prevailing main Collective Agreement and industry fund rules. WARP provides a fully aligned and efficient process, significantly reducing the need for manual input and improving overall accuracy, at a subsidised pricing structure. It is also a payroll system and may at the same time be used as such. You will find that it is always timely updated to make provision for any Industry amendments and changes and never lags behind such Industry changes and amendments.
Employers using other payroll systems, such as VIP or Sage, can also submit via the EPIC Portal by exporting their payroll data and completing the template. As these systems are designed for additional tasks outside our Industry, some additional steps may be required to ensure that the information aligns with the Council’s specific requirements.
The EPIC Portal integrates seamlessly with the Council’s employee benefits system, which is securely hosted on the Council’s own infrastructure. This ensures accurate and timely processing, reliable record-keeping, and improved efficiency for employers, employees and the Council.
